The Pinehurst Major

The Cradle of American Golf

Every golfer has a moment when Pinehurst calls their name. For many, it starts with the grainy black and white photos of Payne Stewart. For others, it is the restored sandscapes, the crowned greens, the way this place carries more golf history per acre than anywhere in America.

This Major is your invitation inside the story. Three days. Four courses. A walk onto No. 2 that stays with you for the rest of your life. Two nights at the historic Holly Inn and an itinerary built around the spirit, heritage, and pure fun that make Pinehurst one of the game’s most iconic destinations.

If Scotland is the birthplace of golf, Pinehurst is where American golf found its voice.

THE SCHEDULE

March 30 | Arrival

If you want to roam the resort a bit before teeing off No. 10, go for it. We will stash our bags at the Holly Inn and take a shuttle to the course as a group. Hotel check-in happens after the round so the day stays focused on golf.

March 30 | No. 10

Designed by Tom Doak and opened in 2024, No. 10 is the first course built at Pinehurst in nearly three decades. Wide, bold, unapologetically modern, and carved through dramatic ridgelines, it sets an unforgettable tone for the week. If No. 2 is tradition, No. 10 is Pinehurst’s future.

March 31 | No. 4

Gil Hanse’s reimagination of No. 4 is a tribute to the natural Sandhills landscape. Broad fairways, rugged edges, and striking sightlines create a strategic challenge that parallels No. 2 without mimicking it. A modern classic and one of the most exhilarating courses on property.

March 31 | The Cradle

The short course packed with serious fun. The Cradle is Pinehurst’s way of reminding us that golf is supposed to be joyful. Ace Cam is live for all 9 holes. The entire round feels like a playground, the perfect late afternoon chapter of the Major.

April 1 | No. 2

The crown jewel. Designed by Donald Ross in 1907 and restored by Coore & Crenshaw, No. 2 is one of the most important and influential golf courses ever created. Host of U.S. Opens, future site of multiple majors, and the beating heart of Pinehurst. Walking its crowned greens and natural sandscapes is an adventure in itself.

April 1 | Departure

After finishing No. 2 we will roll straight into the awards ceremony before closing out the trip. If you want to chase a few more swings, the resort can help you book an extra round or you can swing by the Pinehurst Golf Shop anytime during your stay.

An American Golf Staple

No. 10, No. 4, The Cradle, and the crown jewel No. 2. A three-day walk through the heart of Pinehurst history.

More Than Just a Round

What is an RGC Major?

RGC Majors are our most immersive experiences. Multi-day stretches of golf, community, and storytelling in places that shaped the game. Pinehurst is one of them. A resort that feels less like a destination and more like an adventure, even if you never leave the property.

Championship Golf, One Legendary Campus
Four rounds across the cradle of American golf including No. 2, No. 4, the brand-new No. 10, and The Cradle. This is the home of Payne Stewart’s legacy, the site of Bryson’s era-defining bunker shot, and a living museum of championship golf. Every course has a personality. Every hole has history under your feet.

Your Stay, Taken Care of
Two nights at the historic Holly Inn, breakfast each morning, and on-site access to everything Pinehurst offers. Zero logistics. Zero guesswork. Wake up, play golf, repeat.

The RGC Community, Elevated
This Major is about the crew as much as the courses. Shared tee boxes, post-round hangs, and those conversations that make a trip feel bigger than the scorecard. Pinehurst brings golfers together in a way few places can. We just add the people who make it unforgettable.
