THE HISTORY
Plainfield Country Club is a pillar of Golden Age design. Ross carved the routing across natural ridgelines and valleys, creating a course where every hole shows off his talent for subtle shaping and clever green contours.
Hanse’s restoration brought Ross’s original details back to life. Expanded fairways, restored bunkers, and greens that run as true as anything on the East Coast help Plainfield retain its reputation as one of New Jersey’s crown jewels.
It has hosted multiple PGA Tour Playoff events, USGA championships, and some of the best amateur fields in the country. It is strategic, demanding, fair, and endlessly fun to play. A proper Classic venue.

No. RGC Classics are built for all skill levels. We do cap playing handicaps at 18 for men and 28 for women to keep the competition fair.
Yes. We’ll pair you with another RGC Member. Most friendships start on the first tee anyway.

Definitely. Just be mindful of other players and the pace of play. We’ll also have an event photographer sharing photos after the round.
