Golf has been played here since 1897. That's a long time for a public course to stay public, and it shows in the way the place feels. Wide fairways, an honest layout, a clubhouse that's a clubhouse.

A hundred golfers, one team, an afternoon in the middle of one of America's great public parks. Hard not to be excited about it.

PLAYER'S PASS: $75.00

Show up with whatever's in the bag. Music, a stunning walk, a hundred new playing partners. By the last hole you'll know thirty of them by name and a few by handicap.

SPECTATOR'S PASS: $10.00

If you've never walked Forest Park properly, come do it on a day there's a hundred of us out playing. Bring the friend who keeps saying they'll learn the game. They'll be at lesson one by Wednesday.
