This is the most mystical stop on the Classics calendar. A place where the fairways run through shadows, the greens tilt with old soul confidence, and every loop of nine feels like you are stepping into a story you have always wanted to be part of.

THE HISTORY
Northwood Golf Club opened in 1928, one of the few MacKenzie designs that fits on less land than a driving range and still manages to feel majestic. The routing weaves through towering Redwoods that frame every shot and create a sense of scale that is impossible to replicate anywhere else.
No hole is long, but every shot matters. Greens run quick and clever. Angles matter. Creativity pays off. It is MacKenzie in miniature, except the trees are two hundred feet tall and your golf ball feels like it is trying to behave.

No. RGC Classics are built for all skill levels. We do cap playing handicaps at 18 for men and 28 for women to keep the competition fair.
Yes. We’ll pair you with another RGC Member. Most friendships start on the first tee anyway.

Definitely. Just be mindful of other players and the pace of play. We’ll also have an event photographer sharing photos after the round.
