LAKECLIFF CLASSIC

Where Texas Meets Shotmaking

Built into the Texas Hill Country, Lakecliff Golf Club delivers waterfalls, rolling elevation, and rock-lined creeks that tighten your aim without killing the fun. It is one of the quieter Coore & Crenshaw designs, which makes it the perfect place for our second Texas Classic. Wide fairways, smart greens, and a setting that looks like a postcard if postcards smelled like cedar and sunscreen.

You get the full RGC treatment. A full day on a course that rewards bold swings and calm minds, with 72 golfers who feel like old friends by lunch. Lakecliff is special, and bringing the Classic here has been a long time coming.

WHY LAKECLIFF?

Lakecliff has stayed under the radar for years, partly because it feels like a private getaway disguised as a public round. Now it is the stage for one of the most scenic Classics of the year.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROUND A CLASSIC?

Lakecliff is our second Texas Classic, and it's setting the tone for how big 2026 is going to be. The design is pure Coore & Crenshaw. The scenery is wild enough to pull you into another world.

It is a course people don’t talk about nearly enough, which is exactly why we wanted to host a Classic here. By the end of the round, you’ll wonder why it isn’t on more bucket lists. And you’ll probably want a rematch.

LAKECLIFF ROAD CLASSIC

Coore & Crenshaw in the Texas Hill Country. Waterfalls, bold greens, and one of the most scenic Classics of the year.

THE HISTORY

Lakecliff was shaped by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, two architects who have built some of the most thoughtful courses in modern golf. Their design here leans into the natural Hill Country terrain. The limestone cliffs, creeks, and ridgelines aren’t dressed up. They simply become part of the strategy.

The par threes are some of the most photographed in Texas. The routing moves in and out of tree lines and elevation shifts, and the greens demand imagination more than aggression.
